The Treasurer and Secretary
AKA. The Paper peeps
The treasurer makes sure that the association’s money is kept within the budget and well spent. Tasks include accounting, invoicing and bookend. The job of the treasurer is to make sure that the money of the association is well spent and kept within the budget that is created at the start of the year. Other tasks include paying people that have purchased things for events, accounting via Visma, pay and send invoices, and close the fiscal year.
The secretary is part of the board and has the main task of writing protocols, which is a summary of what we discuss and decide during the Mälekon’s board meetings. This is to give us the opportunity to look back and see what we have actually decided, but also to give the board members, who can not attend the meeting, the opportunity to read about what we have discussed. It also gives you as a member of Mälekon the opportunity to see what it is that we actually do on the board. Besides writing protocols it’s also in my line of work to handle questions regarding membership or other potential changes.
